Lifeback Losartan 25 mg is a prescription medicine containing Losartan Potassium USP, an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It's used to lower high blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH).
Each film-coated tablet contains Losartan Potassium USP 25 mg, excipients, and the color Tartrazine.
Do not take Lifeback Losartan 25 mg if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Inform your doctor about existing liver or kidney problems, severe vomiting or diarrhea, all medicines you take (prescription and non-prescription, vitamins, herbal supplements), and specifically if you take potassium supplements, salt substitutes containing potassium, water pills (diuretics), or medicines for pain and arthritis (NSAIDs), including COX-2 inhibitors.
Take the tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may be adjusted. The tablets can be taken with or without food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's close to your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and take the next one as usual. If you take too much, contact your doctor, Poison Control Center, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.
Serious side effects include injury or death to unborn babies, allergic reaction (swelling of face, lips, throat, or tongue), low blood pressure (hypotension), and worsening kidney function in people with pre-existing kidney problems. Common side effects include colds (upper respiratory infection), dizziness, stuffy nose, and back pain. If any side effect bothers you or persists, contact your doctor.
Store the tablets below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep the container tightly closed. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
