Lisitab Tablet contains lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor. It's used to treat: * High blood pressure (hypertension) * Heart failure * Kidney problems caused by Type II diabetes in people with high blood pressure
* People allergic to lisinopril or its ingredients. * Those who've had an allergic reaction to an ACE inhibitor. * People with severe allergic reactions (angioedema) to an ACE inhibitor. * Women who are more than 3 months pregnant (avoid in early pregnancy). * People with diabetes or kidney issues taking aliskiren-containing blood pressure medicine.
Talk to your doctor if you have: * Narrowing of the aorta or heart valves. * Narrowing of the kidney artery. * Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. * Blood vessel problems (collagen vascular disease). * Low blood pressure. * Kidney problems or are on dialysis. * Liver problems. * Diabetes. * Taking an ARB or aliskiren.

* **High blood pressure:** Starting dose 10 mg once a day, long-term dose 20 mg once a day. * **Heart failure:** Starting dose 2.5 mg once a day, long-term dose 5 to 35 mg once a day. * **After a heart attack:** Starting dose 5 mg within 24 hours, 5 mg one day later, long-term dose 10 mg once a day. * **Kidney problems caused by diabetes:** 10 mg or 20 mg once a day. * **Children and adolescents (6 to 16 years old with high blood pressure):** Dose depends on body weight. * 20 kg - 50 kg: Starting dose 2.5 mg once a day. * More than 50 kg: Starting dose 5 mg once a day.
Dizziness or tiredness may occur. If this happens, avoid driving or operating machinery until the medicine's effects are known.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it's nearly time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.
