Gestid Suspension is used to relieve symptoms of indigestion, heartburn, and excessive wind formation.
It contains antacids (dried aluminum hydroxide gel and magnesium hydroxide) that neutralize excess stomach acid and an anti-flatulent (simethicone) that breaks down gas bubbles.
The recommended dosage is 5-10 ml, 20 minutes to one hour after meals and at bedtime, or as needed. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Common side effects include diarrhoea or constipation. Less common side effects include allergic reactions. Rare side effects may occur. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms.
Consult your doctor before taking Gestid Suspension during pregnancy. It is not recommended to take it while breastfeeding.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are taking. Gestid Suspension may interfere with the absorption of other medications. Separate the intake of Gestid Suspension and other medications by at least 2-3 hours.
Go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately and take the medicine with you.
People with known allergies to ingredients, severe kidney problems, low phosphate levels, excess base in body fluids, high magnesium level, or abdominal distention should not take Gestid Suspension.
