Antacids neutralize excess stomach acid. Antifoaming agent reduces flatulence.
Common: Constipation, Diarrhoea Rare: Dizziness, faintness, drowsiness, skin rashes, itching, tongue inflammation
Patients taking tetracycline antibiotics Patients with known sensitivity to Nugel-O components Patients with symptoms of appendicitis Patients with hypophosphataemia Patients with severe renal impairment
Increased absorption: Tetracycline, iron salts, isoniazid, ethambutol, some anti-muscarinic drugs, benzodiazepines, phenothiazines, ranitidine, indomethacin, phenytoin, nitrofurantoin, Vitamin A, fluoride, and phosphate. Decreased absorption: ACE inhibitors, beta blockers. Increased absorption and potential toxicity: Quinidine. Increased hypoglycemic effect: Sulphonylureas.
Recommended dosage for adults is 15mL twice daily, or as directed by a physician. Not for use in children.
