Ciproxamed Forte is a combination tablet containing Ciprofloxacin (500mg) and Tinidazole (600mg) used to treat various infections caused by susceptible bacteria, anaerobes, and protozoa.
Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication, while Tinidazole damages DNA strands or inhibits DNA synthesis in microorganisms.
Both components are rapidly absorbed, reaching peak concentrations within 1-2 hours (Ciprofloxacin) and 2 hours (Tinidazole). They are widely distributed in the body.
Ciprofloxacin is minimally metabolized and eliminated mainly through the kidneys. Tinidazole is metabolized to an active hydroxy metabolite and excreted primarily in urine.
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, pregnancy, and lactation.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, mood changes, abdominal pain, confusion, insomnia, and dyspepsia.
