Fleming is an antibiotic containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid used to treat bacterial infections in babies and children.
The dosage is weight-based and determined by a doctor, ranging from 25/3.6 mg/kg to 70/10 mg/kg per day, divided into two doses.
Shake the bottle well, give with a meal, space doses at least 4 hours apart, and never double dose. Treatment should not exceed two weeks.
Common: Diarrhea, thrush, nausea, vomiting. Less common: Skin rash, itching, hives, indigestion, dizziness, headache. Rare but serious: Allergic reactions, inflammation of the large intestine, serious skin reactions.
Give the missed dose as soon as you remember, but wait at least 4 hours before the next dose. Never double dose.
Consult a doctor if the child has glandular fever, liver or kidney problems, is not urinating regularly, or is taking other medications. Inform medical professionals about Fleming use before tests.
Active: amoxicillin, clavulanic acid. Inactive: aspartame, anhydrous citric acid, xanthan gum, flavorings, silicon dioxide, colloidal anhydrous silica, hypromellose.
Unopened powder: Dry place below 25°C. Reconstituted suspension: Refrigerate (2-8°C) and use within seven days. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not give Fleming to a child allergic to penicillin, amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or any of its ingredients.
Fleming can cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
