G-Clav 625 Tablets is an antibiotic containing 500 mg of Amoxicillin and 125 mg of Clavulanic Acid.
It kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis (amoxicillin) and preventing bacterial resistance to amoxicillin (clavulanic acid).
Middle ear, sinus, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissue, dental, bone, and joint infections.
Adults and children ≥ 40 kg: One tablet three times daily. Children < 40 kg: 20-60 mg/5-15 mg/kg/day divided into three doses. Dosage adjustments are needed for renal impairment.
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, thrush, and various less common side effects (see provided text for full list).
Hypersensitivity to the components, history of severe hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics, and history of jaundice/hepatic impairment due to amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Consider allergies, mononucleosis, concurrent allopurinol use, hepatic/renal impairment, and coagulation status (see provided text for full list).
Orally at the start of a meal.
