Relief from mild to moderate pain in conditions like dysmenorrhea, migraine, post-operative pain, rheumatic disorders, and musculoskeletal and joint disorders.
Bronchospasm, known sensitivity to aspirin, peptic ulcer, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, renal failure, hypertension on treatment.
Inhibits cyclo-oxygenase, reducing inflammation and pain.
Well absorbed orally, rapidly metabolized, eliminated in urine, excretion complete within 24 hours, serum half-life 1.8 to 2.0 hours.
Brochospasm, blurred vision, fluid retention, gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, nervousness, skin rash, tinnitus, edema, depression, drowsiness.
Use with caution in patients with history of cardiac decompensation, hypertension, intrinsic coagulation defects, anticoagulant therapy.
Initial dose 1200-1800mg daily, maintenance 600-1200mg daily, maximum 2400mg daily.
20mg/kg body weight daily, up to 40mg/kg in juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, maximum 500mg daily for children under 30kg.
No specific adjustments unless renal or hepatic function is impaired.
Store in a dry place below 30°C, protected from light, keep out of reach of children.
