Paracetamol (also known as acetaminophen)
It's a unique formulation that allows Panadol caplets to be absorbed faster than regular paracetamol.
It's used for a variety of pain and fever relief, including: Headache Osteoarthritis pain Fever Muscle pain Colds & Influenza Neuralgia Backache Toothache Menstrual pain Rheumatic pain
Adults and children 12 years and older.
Swallow the caplets with water.
1 or 2 caplets every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but not exceeding 8 caplets in 24 hours.
Do not take for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
No, it's not recommended for children under 12 years.
Always use the lowest effective dose to relieve your symptoms and use the medicine for the shortest period of time necessary.
People who are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.
Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not take it with other products containing paracetamol.
If you have a severe infection as it may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis. If your symptoms persist after 2 days. If you have liver or kidney problems. If you are underweight or malnourished. If you regularly drink alcohol. If you are taking warfarin or similar blood-thinning medicines.
Deep, rapid, difficult breathing Feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting) Loss of appetite Contact a doctor immediately if you experience a combination of these symptoms.
Seek immediate medical advice due to the risk of liver failure, even if you feel well.
Allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching, sometimes with breathing problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face. Skin rash or peeling, or mouth ulcers. Unexplained bruising or bleeding.
