Its primary purpose is to treat iron deficiency anemia and address increased iron demand in various situations.
Bunto Blood Tonic contains Ferric ammonium citrate (providing iron), Folic acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavine Phosphate), Vitamin B6, Zinc, Copper, and Nicotinamide.
Each 5ml dose contains 17mg of Iron (equivalent to 0.85mg Ferric ammonium citrate).
The recommended dosage for adults is 2 teaspoonfuls three times daily. Prophylactic dose is 1 teaspoonful once or twice daily. For children, the dosage is 1 teaspoonful once or twice daily or as directed by a physician.
Bunto Blood Tonic is indicated for treating iron deficiency anemia due to blood loss, increased iron demand during pregnancy, in growing children, after surgical operations, childbirth, accidents, miscarriages, and for rapid recuperation during convalescence.
Bunto Blood Tonic is contraindicated for anemia where iron has been lost from the body due to abnormal haemoglobin.
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms due to the iron dose, especially if taken on an empty stomach. Rarely, allergic reactions or rashes may occur.
