Dermal/subdermal changes at injection site, leading to skin depressions. Elevated blood pressure, salt and water retention, increased potassium excretion. Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia. Increased susceptibility to infections. Restricted use in patients with active tuberculosis, chickenpox, and measles.
Is Labohydro recommended during pregnancy or lactation?
Not recommended in either case.
What precautions should be taken when administering Labohydro?
Use cautiously in patients with congestive heart failure, hypertension, renal insufficiency, active/latent peptic ulcers, nonspecific ulcerative colitis. Monitor for drug-induced secondary adrenocortical insufficiency, especially when reducing dosage gradually. Monitor intraocular pressure if steroid therapy continues for more than 6 weeks.
